How the Board Works
The RLIB is a specialized statutory board established underPart 309 of Michigan’s Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA). Operating as a public authority, the Board manages special assessment funds and approves contracts for all professional lake care services, ensuring taxpayers' dollars are used efficiently, transparently, and effectively.
Our multi-agency structure combines local township leadership with county resources, featuring representatives from:
-White Lake Township
-Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner
-Oakland County Board of Commissioners
-Riparian Representative (representing Round Lake residents, Tammy Liptak)
**This board is completely independent of the Round Lake Association who focuses on social events of our lake**
